Join us for a look at the science behind food with a chance to try out experiments and even try your hand at chocolate engineering!
The day is open to all with sessions including:
- Professor Paul Walton, University of York, discussing the science of chocolate
- Flavour SenseNation, interactive exhibition exploring our appreciation of flavour
- hands on experiments looking at the science behind food and how to build with chocolate
- an opportunity to visit the National STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Centre and see the thousands of resources and gadgets on display
Doors open at 10.30 with three chances to see Professor Walton's talk at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm - please book to ensure your place.
All under 16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult, adult and children's tickets are for the same talk.
Entry is free, ample free parking available.
