National Tree Week - Woodland creation - Colinton Playing Fields
Overview
Woodland creation - Nature for all
This session is part of a wider effort to transform urban green spaces into thriving habitats for wildlife. By planting native trees and establishing wildflower islands, we’ll provide food and shelter for pollinators, birds, and other species, while improving the resilience of local ecosystems. These actions directly support the Edinburgh Nature Network, which aims to connect green spaces across the city, creating corridors for nature and people.
You’ll learn practical conservation skills, meet like-minded volunteers, and make a real difference to biodiversity in Edinburgh.
The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) connects people and green spaces to create healthier, happier communities. Our volunteers play a vital role in restoring habitats, improving biodiversity, and making nature accessible for everyone.
