The session is 2.5 hours in duration. It is a slow, circular walk of a woodland trail with stops for invitations to practice short meditations and mindful immersions in nature, designed to help promote relaxation and nature connection. During the session you will learn about the scientific benefits of Forest Bathing and how it can help to improve health and wellbeing.

We ask participants to gather 15 minutes before the start time (10.15am) at Goose Green where you will be met by Forest Bathing Guide Emma Weaver. Free Car parking for this event is at the visitor's reception area. National Trust members have access to all areas, non-members will be given free access to garden and cafe only. If you wish to vist the house after the session, non-members will need to pay an additional fee.
Each participant is required to complete a registration form in advance of the session. This will be sent online once booking details have been received along with more information about preparing for the session. Please complete and return the registration form to your guide as soon as possible.
Please wear long sleeves and long trousers even in the summer, to protect the skin from scratches, bites, ticks etc. Sturdy robust footwear like walking boots or similar. Please bring a waterproof jacket, a waterproof backed mat to lay on (folding stools are provided during the winter months), a water bottle and any medication you may need ie inhalers, EpiPen.
The guide reserves the right to postpone in the event of extreme weather, storms and high wind gusts of over 30mph. No refunds will be given. In these circumstances a future date will be offered. You will be given as much notice as possible of any postponement. Alternative dates will also be offered in the event of cancellation due to insufficient bookings (minimum of 6 people). Your understanding is appreciated.

Possible risks - Forest Bathing and Nature Therapy involves being outside, breathing deeply and walking slowly through a wooded area. There will be periods of standing, sitting or lying down when conditions permit. Potential physical risks are associated with walking, breathing exercises and certain natural hazards like tree roots and branches. Forest Bathing can trigger emotions and memories, often joyful but sometimes challenging.
Medical conditions/pregnancy
Please abstain from this event if you are pregnant. If you have any concerns about the impact of Forest Bathing on a physical or mental health condition please discuss your participation with your GP first. Please inform me prior to the session if I need to take into account any pre existing or current medical conditions.
