CAOLAS (Community Association of Lochs & Sounds) and LNOP (Lochaline Native Oyster Project) are seeking a few volunteers to help count, clean, and weigh our oysters.

We have been growing them at Lochaline pontoons since July 2021, and the larger ones will almost be ready for release. We need to separate out the bigger individuals from the wee ones, and to do this we will weigh and count them. Any oysters over 8 g will be separated out to form our release group.

All equipment will be provided.

A few things:

- Weather appropriate clothing required. It may be warm, wet, or freezing or any combination, so please come prepared.

-Covid cases are high currently, so we will be taking precautions with spacing, and keeping close interaction to a minimum. We will be outside, but feel free to wear a mask.

-Parking available at the pontoons.
