Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope! I will provide the fabric/textile, the traditional Indonesian tools for waxing, the organic wax, the ingredients for the natural dyes, paintbrushes, the frames to hold your fabric in place and tea and cake of course.

What should I wear?

I would recommend wearing comfy clothes that you do not mind getting a bit messy with. As with any craft involving paint and wax, it could get on your clothes.

Can I bring my own fabric or things to batik?

Sure! As long as it is natural cotton and can be held in a embroidery frame (for your safety with the wax) then you can bring it along. If you are unsure, send me a message and we can see if it can work.

Will there be a break?

Yes! There will be a break in the middle of the workshop with tea and cakes provided. Feel free to bring anything you want for the snack break too.
