Session 2: Formulating Natural & Organic Personal Care Products Workshop
Although the palette of green materials has widened considerably, formulating natural & organic personal care
products is fraught with technical difficulties. This workshop gives an update on standards and labeling schemes, as well as the formulation issues when developing such products.
Practical guidance will be given to brands looking to remove contentious synthetic ingredients – such as parabens, phthalates, SLS / SLES, etc. - and develop ‘chemically-clean’ personal care products. Details will be given on technical issues concerning stability, safety and performance of green formulations.
Session 3: Financing for Sustainable Growth Workshop
With financing a major concern for many natural & organic brands, this new workshop highlights the various financing options available, as well as guidance on utilizing capital for business growth. Using case studies, the risks and pitfalls of financing are outlined. The opportunities provided by crowdfunding, as well as the use of incubators / accelerators will be discussed.
