This one-hour interactive training session is designed for anyone at Natural England who is involved in research with human participants—whether you're a researcher in CSD or part of an area or programme team collecting human data to support your work.
The session will focus on how to successfully complete your ethics application.
Through practical exercises and real-world examples, you’ll learn:
- What ethical research involves and why it matters
- How to complete the application form and avoid common pitfalls
- What supporting documents you may need
- How the Ethics Committee reviews applications and what to expect after submission
- Where to find help and resources throughout the process
By the end of the session, you’ll have the tools and confidence to complete your ethics application.
Session Details:
- The session is for Natural England staff only
- The session will be interactive with plenty of time for discussion and an opportunity to discuss your own ethics applications.
- The session will not be recorded to encourage open sharing
- No pre-reading or preparation required
- These a newly developed training sessions – so we would really appreciate your feedback to help us develop the training going forward
- We will look to repeat these sessions on a monthly basis going forward, so if you can't make this training session please check out our other dates.
