About this event

Whether for artistic inspiration, scientific study, or to explore and be inspired by the natural world, natural history collections provide a wealth of opportunity to all. In this session we'll look at the different types of collections available through the Centre for UK Nature, and how and why you might want to use them. We'll discuss handling and using collections, and what to expect when using them. Practical sessions will also include how to start making your own reference collections (with a particular focus on entomological collections) for your own study, and how to manage a small entomological collection at home.

Please note: this event is only for adults over the age of 18. Those that are between 16-18 can attend, with the supervision of an adult.
