MATERIALS


Paper and all specialist materials are supplied but you should bring your favourite brushes for ink and watercolour, an apron, latex gloves and be prepared to get messy!

Frequently asked questions

Are pigments toxic?

Earth pigment, ochres and certain minerals such as lapis lazuli are not toxic but it is advisable to wear dust masks so as not to breath in irritating dust particles and to wear latex gloves as ochre can stain. Once bound in media it is absolutely safe.

Are inks toxic?

These natural inks are made from trees, berries and spices so they are not toxic, however you wouldn't want to consume it! The main issue is that they are staining so it is advisable to wear an apron and gloves.
