Event description
The Healthier Way to Network for Business People in Sonning

About this event

The Sonning Common and Sonning Netwalks welcome Small Business Owners, Solopreneurs and Professionals.

Natural Netwalking brings like minded business people together for a walk and talk in the fresh air, building business relationships, helping each other with ideas and advice, whilst bring some fun into business.

A 90-minute, 3-mile, two counties walk that begins in the car park of The French Horn in Oxfordshire (RG4 6TN). We then continue across the river to the Coppa Club in Berkshire and on through a bucolic rural landscape before a riverside return to Sonning for a well-earned coffee and networking opportunities.

Sonning is a historic village with many celebrity connections, both new and old. We can't promise sightings, but the Bishops of Salisbury had a palace there and now it is home to George and Amal Clooney, Theresa May and Jimmy Page amongst others. One of our leaders is an enthusiastic guide to the village.

Dogs are welcome if kept on a lead. Designed for business owners, the walk is led so as to enable short conversations on issues current to you. Networking and friendship building continue over a coffee at the end.

Walk information:

  • Dress - casual, comfortable walking clothes
  • Parking - in the French Horn car park (RG4 6TN)
  • Distance - 3 miles
  • Approx time - 90 minutes maximum
  • Refreshments - available to purchase at end of walk.
  • Number of stiles - None
  • Level of difficulty - Easy, mostly on footpaths.
  • Dogs are welcome on leads

Your walk leaders both live locally: David Woodward of Studio DFP and Nick Shanagher, an IBD-accredited business adviser.

David is a graphic designer specialising in branding, marketing, book and website design.

Nick helps business owners to identify and hit their goals.

Both leaders believe that walking and talking with friends encourages physical and mental wellbeing. David is the founder of a local community orchard and an expert on Wilfred Owen, who walked widely around the ancient parish of Sonning.
