Event description

Description

You are invited to join us in the beautiful grounds of the Walkern Hall Woods.

With exam season underway and the added inevitable pressure that brings, we are offering a special rate for students needing a restorative, and motivating revision break.

Spending time away from our desks, in nature, has been shown to improve our focus, concentration and offer our brains time to restore and replenish following long periods of hard focus, be that on our books or on the computer.

By taking a moment of pause, to ground and deepen our connection to nature, we will begin to experience some of the proven and powerful therapeutic benefits that spending time in nature has on our ‘being well’ both physically and mentally.

We will take a slow gentle walk through the forest and experience the land through a series of guided invitations. You will have the opportunity to awaken your body's senses and notice what that brings you. By interrupting the usual frantic pace and noice of life, you will be invited to witness the stories contained within each other, the land, seasons and elements.

Our forest therapy experiences take you from the persistent overwhelm of everyday life on a journey where time and destination release their hold. The noise quietens in our minds and the forest holds our space, enabling opportunity for restoration and re-balance.

Forest therapy can improve our mental, physical and social wellbeing and there is growing scientific evidence to show the positive impact on health, such as reducing blood pressure, heart rate, depression and anxiety, as well as boosting the immune system, improving cognitive function, focus and creativity.

Join us for a natural boost to living well this summer.

No experience required, no fitness required. Nothing to lose by trying.
