Join our Conservation Officer and a local bat expert from Fife and Kinross Bat Group for a guided bat walk around Birnie & Gaddon Lochs Local Nature Reserve.
This event is always a sell-out so don't delay booking your tickets!
You will learn about the types of bats that can be found at the reserve, detect and listen to their echo-location using bat detectors and hopefully watch them as they whizz around searching for food.
We will also keep an eye (and ear!) out for any other nocturnal wildlife.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please dress suitably for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. We will be walking along paths. A headtorch is advisable as the walk will be at sunset.
This event is free but should you wish to, and are able to do so, a donation is welcome to go towards the conservation and maintenance work of Fife Coast and Countryside Trust. We suggest £10 for a family group of four, or £5 per person.
If you book places but then can't attend, please let us know by cancelling your ticket on Eventbrite, or by emailing ask.us@fifecountryside.co.uk or phoning 01592 656080. Nearer the event we will email all participants with details of the meeting place.
If you cancel your tickets, which have an associated payment/donation, you will be responsible for paying the Eventbrite administration fee.
