Event description
Join Curator of Natural Sciences, Alistair McLean, for a nature walk around Treeton Dyke.

About this event

Treeton Dyke is one of Sheffield’s dragonfly hotspots, and one of the few places in the city where you can see both the Red-eyed Damselfly and the Small Red-eyed Damselfly at the same time – useful for making comparisons. Join Alistair McLean, Curator of Natural Sciences at Sheffield Museum, for this nature walk and learn how to identify these curious creatures.

Meet where the footpath joins Falconer Lane, near the children’s playground, on the South end of the Dyke, grid reference SK43828608.

Please note that in wet weather, the trip will be cancelled. If in doubt, contact alistair.mclean@sheffieldmuseums.org.uk.

This walk will be taking places following government guidance on Covid-19 measures. Spaces are limited so booking is advised.
