Join us for a guided photowalk along the River Kelvin, where we’ll explore local green spaces, map trees, and record nature stories. We'll collect data on trees - including height, girth, species, and soil conditions - and invite you to share your personal experiences in nature. Tell us about your connection to these green spaces and what makes them special to you.CommuniMap is an innovative new community science app developed through the GALLANT project at the University of Glasgow. communiMap invites you to see your local area through fresh eyes – tuning in to nature, movement, and the everyday rhythms that shape where you live. Whether you’re walking, wheeling, composting at home, or simply noticing the trees on your street, your observations help shape a collective story of local life.
You can upload your spots directly to app available on the Google Play store and the App Store. You can also find the communiMap web version here.We also have a paper version of the app in the form of a workbook for those who would rather add spots this way.
GALLANT can provide £10 vouchers for those who can join us.
Packed lunch will be provided.
