Nature walk with John Wells - an introduction to Grove Farm nature reserve

By Friends of Grove Farm

Overview

Join us for a gentle guided walk through a world of golden leaves and crisp air guided by John Wells, an Ealing local naturalist.

On this special autumn walk, you'll not only enjoy the crisp air and beautiful colors but also explore the secret world of lichens and mosses that call our forests home. Learn how lichens help keep our air clean and indicate polution as well as how mosses provide homes for insects and other creatures. Discover the fascinating world of nature's smallest wonders.

John Wells will help guide you to have a deeper appreciation of nature through this walk and we'll also learn about the history of Grove Farm and future plans for the site and its conservation.

Bring your family, your friends, and your sense of adventure for a day filled with natures' hidden treasures and nature! Don’t forget to wear your warm clothes, wellington boots, camera and a magnifying glass to explore these tiny worlds up close!

We will be meeting at the Whitton Avenue West entrace of Grove Farm, between 492A and 490.
