Nature's Way: Bradford Screening Event
Date and time
Shining a spotlight on the amazing nature-based, community projects in and around Bradford!
About this event
Please join us on Thursday 26th May at the Kala Sangam Arts Centre for a special celebratory screening of 5 new documentary films showcasing some of the incredible nature-based community projects that have been involved in the Nature’s Way research project.
Nature’s Way is a UKRI funded project based at the Royal College of Art. We have been investigating how community led, nature-based projects are positively impacting the physical and mental well-being of the communities they support in Bradford.
After a turbulent few years, the importance of projects like these has never felt more vital in supporting societal resilience and helping restore the nature that surrounds us.
These short films focus on the amazing work that is going on and hopes to inspire any new individuals, groups or organisations to try to join or start their own nature-based projects that mutually benefit the community and the environment! Come along and learn more!
Timings:
- 1.30pm Arrive (light-lunch will be provided!*)
- 1.45pm Film screening starts (this should last approximately 30minutes)
- 2.15pm A chance to discuss and chat about the work you do!
We don’t like the term ‘networking’ but hope that this might be a brilliant opportunity for multiple projects and organisations to be together in one space
- 3.00pm Finish
This event is open for anyone interested in nature and their local community in Bradford!
