About Jeremy Yencer

Jeremy Yencer is a mindfulness practitioner who graduated from Lesley University with a Master of Arts in Mindfulness Studies in December 2025. His work explores how mindfulness can remain authentic and grounded as it enters the digital landscape, with a particular focus on the influence of AI in modern mindfulness apps.

His thesis, titled “The Real Truth About Popular Mindfulness Apps: Mindfulness or Marketshare?”, examines how commercial pressures and app design choices can shape or distort the quality of mindfulness delivered through digital platforms. As part of his research, he created a mindfulness companion app along with an evaluation framework that helps teachers and practitioners understand whether digital tools support ethical, high quality, and principle aligned teaching.

He brings a deep passion for making mindfulness accessible while honouring the depth of the tradition. Outside of his academic and professional work, Jeremy is a devoted father to two young sons who offer daily reminders of presence, patience, and compassion.
