STEP and Mid Ulster Council are delighted to offer this workshop at no cost to community and voluntary organisations in the Mid Ulster area as part of our ongoing sanctuary initiative.
The training workshop will be delivered by Act Now staff and uses a trauma-informed approach to explore:
· How attitudes and opinions form
· Who to have these conversations with
· Practical techniques to use
The session includes time to practise conversations and an opportunity for questions and discussion.
Who might benefit from attending?
The training is open to community groups and voluntary organisations in the Mid Ulster District Council area.
Staff from statutory agencies working in education, health, housing and welfare are also welcome to apply.
In the case of over-subscription, we will prioritise community sector applications and may also need to limit places to one per organisation, while seeking a balance of representation across geographic areas.
