Wondering about your clients neurodivergence in therapy?

Join us for this engaging workshop designed specifically for psychological therapists navigating the 'wonderings' and complexities of neurodivergence in the therapy room. This session will help you scaffold sensitive conversations about neurodivergence with your clients, and build your confidence broaching the subject where you feel it could be relevant.

We’ll address key challenges, including therapist uncertainty, managing client reactions, potential resistance, fear and stigma, whilst balancing an exploration of neurodivergence with the client’s therapy goals in mind.

Gain practical tools and insights to deepen your understanding and confidently support neurodivergent clients while strengthening the therapeutic relationship.

After an initial introduction, this consultation workshop will involve small-group case study work, and so places are limited to 16 - don't miss out!

How do I access the workshop

The workshop will be held over Zoom. You will receive a link to the event before it starts

Will I be expected to speak or have my camera on during the workshop?

The session will be in a workshop style. At The Neurodiversity Practice, we understand that you can participate with your camera off and put your thoughts and comments in the chat. Practitioners on the call are likely to have their camera on and will speak about clinical case work.

Will I have access to the recording after the workshop?

To support attendees, we will record the introductory section. The practical and interactive section of the workshop will be not be recorded to protect both therapist & client confidentiality. If you cannot attend, please let us know, we will arrange another session at another point

Do the founders of The Neurodiversity Practice have personal experience of neurodivergence?

YES! We have self identifying, and wondering facilitators, lived experience through family members as well as our many years of clinical experience as psychologists. We also have a panel of neurodivergent parents who co-produce with us and support the work we do.
