Navigating Job Applications with Confidence
Navigating post-PhD job applications and figuring out where to start can be daunting. Join us for an interactive webinar that covers the basics and top tips for developing CVs, discusses the common challenges in applications, and provides practical strategies to overcome them.
During the event we will go through how to tailor your applications to specific roles and discuss some of the concerns and worries PGRs might have when applying for their first job after their PhD - all within a supportive and welcoming environment.
There will also be the opportunity to hear from recently-finished PGRs about their journey to a career within or outside of academia, with plenty of time to ask questions and gain insights from their experiences.
Who can attend?
This YCEDE event is targeted towards PGRs (in any year of study) at YCEDE institutions (Leeds, Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam, Bradford and York) who identify as being from a racially minoritised background.
