Bringing together speakers from around the globe to discuss and debate luxury as an interdisciplinary art.
About this event
For industry insiders, academic experts, luxury connoisseurs and devotees, the first Navigating Luxury conference will bring together, all in one evening, speakers from around the globe to discuss and debate luxury as an interdisciplinary art.
The luxury sector has weathered the pandemic storm better than ever expected; financially stronger than ever, luxury has also become more challenging, even subversive. Whether collaborating with fine artists or streetwear brands, turning fashion shows into globally-watched performance art, creating branded NFTs or celebrating archival work in museums, luxury is naturally the theatre for art-official.
Streaming this conference from University Women's Club in the heart of Mayfair, we will explore the themes of luxury as ritual and performance, art collaborations, immersive transformative experiences and the commodification of fine art.
Navigating Luxury is founded by Dr Nadya Ostroff in partnership with University for the Creative Arts, The Commission, and University Women's Club.
