Navigating the Ages and Stages of Adolescence
Overview
Navigating the Ages and Stages of Adolescence: A Two-Part Workshop
Adolescence is a journey—but it's not a straight road. Each stage brings its own challenges, changes, and opportunities for growth, both for teenagers and for the parents trying to keep up.
Join us for this two-part online workshop where we'll explore how to be prepared rather than caught off guard by the shifts and changes of the teenage years. We'll look at the key developmental stages of adolescence and what challenges typically emerge at each phase, helping you anticipate what's coming rather than reacting in crisis.
We'll also reflect on the differences—and surprising similarities—between your own adolescence and your teen's experience. Understanding both the universal aspects of growing up and what's unique to this generation will help you parent with greater empathy and insight.
Throughout the workshop, we'll revisit the essential skill of letting go without losing control—learning how to give your teenager the increasing independence they need while staying connected and appropriately involved.
Whether you're parenting an early teen just entering adolescence or navigating the later teenage years, this workshop will help you understand where your young person is developmentally and what they need from you at each stage.
