About this event

Holiday • Other

The holidays can be complicated, especially when you’re part of the LGBT+ community or loving someone who is.

Family dynamics, social pressure, or simply feeling different at a time that’s meant to be joyful can leave us exhausted or unseen.

This 90-minute live online session is a calm and supportive space to pause, reflect, and find strategies that help you feel grounded and connected through the festive season.

Led by Miriam Grace, a psychotherapist with more than 35 years of experience and lived understanding as a later-in-life lesbian, mother, and neurodivergent professional, this session offers empathy, humour, and gentle insight on a topic that often goes unspoken.

What will you gain?

  • Tools for managing family expectations and emotional boundaries
  • Ways to navigate loneliness or overwhelm during the holidays
  • Understanding of how neurodiversity, chronic illness, and identity can affect seasonal stress
  • A sense of community and shared humanity without judgment

Who is this online session for?

  • LGBT+ individuals seeking understanding and emotional balance
  • Allies and family members who want to show up with compassion
  • Anyone who finds the holidays emotionally complex or draining
