Event description
Interested in the US market and learning more about navigating a US M&A exit (pre/during/post being acquired)? This event is for you!

About this Event

Join Wilson Sonsini and former Mayor's International Business Programme company Akkroo, which has now been acquired by US-based company Integrate, for a session on the process of and real-life learnings from an acquisition. We will hear from Wilson Sonsini about how to prepare for and meet the expectations of US acquirors, and how to negotiate the best possible outcome for your company, your employees and the founding team. Following this, we are hosting a fireside chat with Chris Wickson, Co-Founder and CEO of Akkroo (now part of Integrate), who will look back at his journey 1,5 years post acquisition. Join us to hear his best tips, learnings and challenges.

About the Speakers

Chris Wickson: Chris was Co-Founder and CEO at Akkroo, a London-based, B2B SaaS company in the event marketing technology space. After scaling the company to several million in annual recurring revenue, a team of 50 (including US-based staff) and raising £2.5m funding along the way, Akkroo was acquired for $34M in April 2019 by US-based B2B MarTech company, Integrate. Chris will be sharing his experiences going through a successful process to a US acquirer, before, during and after acquisition.

Mark Holloway: Mark is a partner working out of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati's Washington, D.C., and New York City offices, where he counsels public and private technology and life science companies through all stages of growth. Mark is a part of the firm's mergers and acquisitions practice, and he focuses on strategic transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, minority investments, and venture capital financings. Mark has handled US M&A transactions for numerous UK companies, including most recently Pollen and Skimlinks, and led Careem’s $3.1bn sale to Uber that closed earlier this year.

Dan Glazer: Daniel Glazer is an American technology lawyer, strategic business advisor, and the founding partner of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati's London office. Since the 2010 launch of the UK Government's "Tech City" initiative, Dan has advised high-growth UK and other European technology and life sciences companies on raising capital, expanding their businesses into U.S. markets, and connecting with U.S. investors, corporates, advisors, and other stakeholders.

Dan also leads Wilson Sonsini's U.S. expansion practice, which focuses on advising UK and other non-U.S. technology and life sciences companies through their U.S. life cycle: U.S. launch, expansion, commercial contracts, fundraising, M&A, and IPO. For more information, visit Wilson Sonsini's U.S. expansion practice page and the library of U.S. expansion and fundraising resources.
