About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join us for another transformative evening as we delve into the art of navigating life's transitions, inspired by the profound wisdom of the late John O'Donohue- a renowned poet, philosopher, and spiritual guide. In a world where change is the only constant and where the pace of change is faster than ever before, this gathering offers a sanctuary for those seeking solace, understanding, and empowerment amidst life's shifting tides.

Through reflective discussion, experiential exercises and story, Dr. Jo and Dr. Simon Walker will guide us through the concept of developing our inner space as means of navigating the road ahead of us. This will especially focus on our role as Elders in the community in supporting young people to navigate the road in a time when many traditional signposts and boundaries have been lost.

Jo and Simon are founders and directors of Steer Education based on Bradford on Avon. Steer Education has worked with schools globally for over 10 years to help young people develop the skills they need to thrive in life.

Whatever your stage of life or family circumstances, this event promises to illuminate your path and awaken the wisdom within.

    “I would love to live
    Like a river flows,
    Carried by the surprise
    Of its own unfolding.””
    John O'Donohue

    Frequently asked questions

    Is there any parking?

Little Rituals is in the centre of Bradford on Avon and a short (5 minute walk) from St Margaret’s car park (BA15 1DE), Bridge Street car park (BA15 1BY) and the Railway Station car park (BA15 1DQ) by the train station. There is also some road parking nearby if you're lucky!

    Is the venue accessible?

There is a step up into the venue and the toilet is located downstairs (with a handrail). If you have any concerns about accessibility, please send an email to Michelle at thewisdomspace@gmail.com

Can I pay on the door?

We ask for all tickets to be booked through eventbrite so that we can manage capacity and ensure that all event communications are received. All tickets are donation based but you are welcome to message us directly if you prefer to pay by cash.

    Why is this donation based?

We run as a non-profit and want to ensure that our events are as accessible as possible. We do not aim to make big profits or put lots of bums on seats. Instead, we aim to cover our costs sustainably and create transformational spaces for meaningful connection and community.

Can I have more than one drink?

Yes! We have included at least one welcome drink in the ticket price. If we break, there is the opportunity to buy another drink.

Why can't I buy more than one ticket at a time?

This is the way Eventbrite have programmed donation-based tickets. It prevents people from booking all of the tickets and paying nothing.

    What time do I arrive?

The event starts at 7.30pm promptly and you're welcome to arrive from 7pm so you can settle into the space with a drink and meet other like minds in the community. We're a friendly bunch so you'll be greeted by smiling faces whether it's your first time or you're a regular.

    Can I get a refund?

We offer refunds for all cancellations with 5 working days notice. After that time, we will happily offer a refund if we can reallocate your space and usually have a waiting list for all of our events that we can email on your behalf.
