About Frances Marshall
Frances Marshall is a classical music and opera photographer who has been working in the industry predominantly in the UK, Europe and the U.S. Her clients include some of the world’s greatest classical musicians and arts organisations.
Her MA in Musicology and background as a performer and educator inform her intuitive approach to capturing the energy and drama of classical music and opera.
Frances says that working in this world for 20 years she’s been doing her utmost to stay true to what matters to her and her clients while also using her work to fight for social justice in unexpected places.
As a fine art photographer and through her exhibition work, Frances has been awarded the Portrait of Britain, Semifinalist at Head On Festival Sydney, and shortlisted for the Royal Photographic Society International Exhibition, Helsinki Photo Festival and Taylor Wessing Award.
Her recent solo “Queer Religion” exhibition has toured venues including St John the Divine Cathedral (New York), Exeter Cathedral, West London Synagogue, and Maynooth University in Kildare.
