Are you a parent of a child with profound disabilities and/or medical complexities? Are you wondering what help is out there for your family? Navigation and Nurture events are monthly gatherings for parents like you to come together and receive practical and emotional support.
Come along, meet other parents in the same boat, and ask questions about areas such as:
- Staying well on this exceptionally challenging parent path
- Benefits
- House adaptations
- Support at home
- Tube feeding
- Mobility support
- Anything else!
Each month there will be a small panel of professionals from various backgrounds to answer your questions or signpost you in the right direction. We will also spent time sharing, connecting and building emotional resiliance.
For a small donation you are welcome to bring your child along if this helps you to attend. Suggested amount is £5 but please pay whatever you can afford. Experienced playworkers will be available in the same room to entertain your pre-schoolers.
Free transport is also available.
Any questions at all please email Justine at hello@murmurationcommunitytherapy.com

If you are bringing your baby/child we'd suggest arriving up to 15 minutes early, if you are able to, so you can get your baby/child settled. Even if you don't have your child, if you want to arrive early but we're not quite ready for you then there is a café next to the room to wait in.
Yes! There is a baby changing station. There isn't a changing place for children that require hoisting.
The playworkers are experienced at working with complex children. They are there to support you and help keep your child entertained so you can focus on what you need from the session. Please note, your baby/child will be in the same room as you and you remain responsible for them throughout.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and has disabled parking bays. For further details about accessibility and to see a video of the venue: https://stanneshouse.org/visit-us/accessibility/
If the cost of getting to the session is getting in the way of you attending, then let us know and we will arrange for a fuel support or a taxi for you. After you have registered there is a second form where you can ask for transport help.
We will be in contact with you ahead of the session with a link so you can pay the suggested donation of £5 towards the playworker. If you can't afford £5 then please pay what you can.
