About this event

This webinar is the first in a series, conducted by What Works for Children’s Social Care in collaboration with the National Association of Virtual School heads, to support the understanding and use of evidence by Virtual School Heads.

This webinar will cover the basics of evidence mindedness and research methodology. This will include:

  • The evidence pipeline
  • How can we tell if something works?
  • Good evidence
  • Cautionary tales
  • How can we find a counterfactual?
  • A brief introduction to randomised controlled trials
