Naze Seashore Science and Discovery Home Education Session

Naze Seashore Science and Discovery Home Education Session

By Essex Wildlife Trust

Overview

Come and explore the seashore, then find out more in our science lab! A session for home educating families.

This popular session is led by a member of our Wilder Learning team. Join us as we discover our fascinating coast and the wildlife that calls it home. Explore the beach for signs of marine creatures, shells, rocks, and other treasures, before returning to the centre to find out more in the pop-up coastal laboratory. Use microscopes and simple experiments to find out all about the rocks, fossils, and shells from our shoreline and the adaptations of the plants and creatures that live here.

You will need sturdy boots or shoes for going to the beach, as the beach access is via steps and is unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The Car Park is managed by Tendring District Council, and parking charges apply.
