About this event

Discover our fascinating coast and the wildlife that call it home. Explore the pool and rocks at low tide, look for marine creatures, shells, rocks, and other treasures before returning to the centre to find out more in the pop-up coastal laboratory. Use microscopes and simple experiments to find out all about the rocks, fossils, and shells from our shoreline and the adaptations of the plants and creatures that live here.

This is a family event, and a ticket is required for each person attending (children and adults). We’ll go exploring whatever the weather, so please dress appropriately. Due to the outdoor nature of the event, all activities are subject to change. Children must be supervised by their attending adult at all times.

The beach is accessed via steep stairs and is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. The car park is managed by Tendering District Council and parking charges apply.

❗Toilets and refreshments are available at the Nature Discovery Centre. For more details about site facilities, please visit the Naze information page – you'll find the link in the address section, just below the event title.
