This course aims to develop the knowledge and skills required when providing positive care for people with dementia and their families.

The course covers topics including:

  • Understanding factors that can influence communication and interaction with those who have dementia
  • Awareness of the causes and symptoms of dementia and person-centred approach to care and support for individuals with dementia.
