NCPS - Lunchtime Learning - Cherelle Mead

We're delighted to announce a new series of bite-sized lunchtime CPD webinars, starting in 2026.

They are designed to fit into your working day while keeping you informed and inspired. Each session we will be joined by a guest speaker who will share their specialist knowledge with you, whether through professional, or lived experience - or both.

We hope these webinars offer an accessible and engaging way to continue your professional development.

Everyone is welcome! These sessions are free to NCPS members (check your email for the discount link / code)— the fee for non-members is £20. A certificate of attendance is included. Although free for members, spaces are still limited, so early booking is recommended.

About this session:

This lunchtime session invites you to explore the unique experiences of mixed-race clients and to open up curiosity around identity, belonging, and culture in the therapy room. Together we’ll reflect on common themes such as invisibility, “in-betweenness,” and navigating multiple worlds, while thinking about how to create safe, affirming spaces for clients to define themselves on their own terms. This will be an open, reflective discussion — a chance to learn, share, and grow confidence in holding these conversations with care and curiosity.

About your host:

Cherelle Mead is a counsellor, supervisor, and consultant, and the NCPS Representative for Wales. Her work is rooted in inclusivity, trauma-informed practice, and advocacy, drawing on lived experience of poverty, race and neurodivergence. She is passionate about creating reflective spaces that encourage curiosity, compassion, and social awareness in therapeutic practice.
