NCS ACTION DAY IS COMING!

NCS Action Day is a national day for NCS Grads to get involved in a range of activities to reunite with friends, support their Youth Boards and relive the best parts of NCS! Across the country there are over 75,000 NCS Grads from 2016 and this day is all for you! There will be projects happening all over London, some run by your Youth Boards and some run by The Challenge, with special guests appearances happening across the capital and prizes up for grabs! AND WHAT'S MORE: YOU CAN BRING YOUR FRIENDS WHO HAVE NOT DONE NCS!

Following this there will be a celebration with a live DJ and bands exclusivley for NCS Grads, with a chance to meet loads more inspiring organisaitons and to celebrate your NCS journey!




WHAT'S HAPPENING ON THE DAY?



11AM - 3PM: PROJECTS! Across the day there'll be loads of different social action projects happening in your local areas all over London! Come along, support your wave mates and get involved to earn your FREE ticket to the after party from 4pm - 8pm. Check out what's happening near you...

North West London:

  • Tri-borough, Islington & Camden Youth Board project - Help the Youth Board create and give out care packages for homeless people in the local area | 11am - 3pm | The Challenge, Courtyard 2, Highgate Studios, 53-79 Highgate Road, Kentish Town, NW5 1TL
  • Barnet & Brent Youth Board project - Help the Youth Board create and give out care packages for homeless people in the local area | 10.30am - 3pm | Kilburn Square Market (pavement space next to Argos), 20 Victoria Rd, North Maida Vale, NW6 6SX
  • Harrow & Hillingdon Youth Board project - Take part in the Youth Board's attempt to enter the Guiness Book of Records for longest mural created by the public, in aid of homelessness | 10:30am - 3pm | St Georges Centre and St Ann's (by the benches), St. Ann's Road, Harrow, HA1 1HS

North East London:

  • Waltham Forest, Haringey & Enfield Youth Board project - Help the Youth Board run their family fun day for children with learning difficulties | 11am - 3pm | 639 Enterprise Centre, 639 High Rd, Tottenham, N17 8AA
  • Newham, Tower Hamlets & Hackney Youth Board project - Take part in the Youth Board's 'Diversity Day', celebrating the area's different cultures through food | 11am - 3pm | St Margaret's House, 21 Old Ford Rd, Bethnal Green, E2 9PL
  • Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge & Havering Youth Board project - Take part in the Youth Board's Politics Day, helping young people to get clued up about the world of politics | 11am - 3pm | Aldoborough Room, Fulwell Cross Library, 140 High St, Ilford, IG6 2EA

South West London:

  • Wandsworth, Richmond & Kingston Youth Board project - Take part in the Youth Board's RAVE & REPEAT event, a sponsored dance-athon to raise money and awareness for homelessness charity Crisis | 11am - 4pm | Devas Club, 2A Stormont Road, Clapham, SW11 5EN
  • Sutton & Merton Youth Board project - Take part in the Youth Board's sleep out with YMCA, raising awareness and funds to fight homelessness at the Merton Night Shelter | 7pm (Fri 17th) - 7am (Sat 18th) | Holy Trinity Church Wimbledon, 234 The Broadway, Wimbledon, SW19 1SB
  • Hounslow & Ealing Youth Board project - Take part in the Youth Board's event to raise money for local young homeless people, with games, music and guest speakers | 12pm - 3pm | Friends of Boston Manor Park Cafe, Boston Manor Road, Brentford, TW8 9JX
  • Hounslow Urban Farm project - Help The Challenge to rejuvenate Hounslow Urban Farm for the upcoming busy season, including sprucing up their fences, barns and other shelters | 11am - 3pm | Hounslow Urban Farm, Faggs Rd, Feltham TW14 0LZ
  • Arcadia Adventure Playground project - Help The Challenge to run activities and register new members at the playground, a stimulating and challenging play space where 5-16 year olds can come to explore and express themselves | 11am - 3pm | Acacia Adventure Playground, 230 Acacia Road, Mitcham Eastfields, CR4 1SD

South East London:

  • Croydon & Lambeth Youth Board project - Take part in the Youth Board's event tackling depression and stress in young people, with interactive workshops, motivational workshops and food | 11am - 3pm | Friends Meeting House, 60 Park Lane, Croydon, CR0 1JE
  • Southwark & Lewisham Youth Board project - Take part in the Youth Board's short film festival and debate exploring mental health, followed by performances | 12am - 3pm | Goldsmiths University, 8 Lewisham Way, New Cross, SE14 6NW
  • Bexley, Bromley & Greenwich Youth Board project - Take part in the Youth Board's mental health and performance workshops alongside Mind | 12am - 2.30pm | Glyndon Hall, 75 Raglan Rd, Plumstead, SE18 7LB
  • South London Regional Youth Board Fund - Pitch your own ideas for new social action projects to the NCS Regional Youth Board for South London. 4PM - 8PM: SOCIAL ACTION HUB AND CELEBRATION! At our central London venue of Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, Holborn, WC1R 4RL, you'll have the opportunity to network with loads of fantastic charities and organisations from across London, and sign up for future opportunities to boost your CV, and take part in some awesome creative workshops! Then it's celebration time! Reunite with 500 NCS grads from all across London who have taken part in social action projects on the day! Get ready for live bands, DJs, dance offs, spoken word and more!




HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?





So click 'REGISTER' now and sign up for a project or, if you can't attend one, reserve your provisional Celebration ticket (dependant on capacity).

Please only order one ticket for yourself. If you want to bring a friend, ask them to register for their own ticket.

Non-NCS Grads can take part in projects but not the Celebration event. Project tickets include entry to the Celebration.
