NCT Haslemere and Midhurst Nearly New Sale

The bi-annual NCT Haslemere and Midhurst Nearly New Sale is a fantastic opportunity to shop for high quality, pre-loved baby and children's clothing and shoes (0-12yrs), maternity wear, nursery equipment, toys, books and more.

It's a ticketed sale (not table-top) meaning items are quality checked and laid out by type, size, gender etc for easy shopping by category with a single point of payment.

There is one room for clothes and shoes, and one room for toys and equipment.

The sale enables local parents to sell on items they no longer need with profits supporting the work of NCT charity locally and nationally.

Entry: £1 suggested cash donation per adult to NCT charity.

There is limited parking available at the school but there is on street parking in the surrounding area. If parking in residential areas, please park considerately.

Please bring a bag for your bargains. We also have bags for life for sale for £2.

Contactless payment is preferred. We accept debit or credit Visa, Mastercard and Maestro cards (we cannot accept American Express).

We also accept cash.

For Sellers

Sellers do not have to be present at the sale, there is no haggling over prices and shoppers don't have to rummage through individual's tables to find the items they are looking for.

Sellers label their items with their seller number and price and shoppers take them to the NCT tills where they can pay by cash, card or contactless payment.

Sellers then get their proceeds by bank transfer after the charity takes commission towards the event and the parenting support charity work.

Commission starts at 30% but is reduced to 20% or 25% depending on the number of hours volunteered.

The seller's registration fee is £5 which is refundable (excluding Eventbrite fees) if you volunteer for a minimum of 2 hours on the day of the sale (see 'For Volunteers' section below).

Please note that the seller registration fee is not refundable if for any reason you need to cancel your place 14 days or less before the event.

There is a template for labels which can be downloaded and printed at home or at a local printer.

Sellers will be notified of their seller number as soon as possible after registration.

Sellers need to be able to drop off their labelled items on Sunday 19th October between 7.30am and 8.30am and collect their unsold items between 1.45pm and 1.45pm.

We aim to have proceeds transferred four weeks after the sale, but normally within two weeks.

For Volunteers

Are you able to volunteer on the day of the sale?

Volunteers can take advantage of reduced commission rates and a full refund of the seller fee, as well as shopping for items before the general public in our pre-sale.

The standard commission rate for the sale is 30%. However, we offer a reduced commission rate for people who volunteer at the sale (25% for those who do a 4-hour shift and 20% for those who do 6.5 hours) to say thank you for your help!

We're looking for volunteers for the following slots:

• Whole day (6.5hrs), 7:30am-2pm 100% seller fee refund, commission rate of 20%

• Set up, pre-sale and sale (4hrs), 7:30am-11:30am 100% seller fee refund, commission rate of 25%
• Pre-sale, sale and pack down (4hrs),9:45am-1:45pm 100% seller fee refund, commission rate of 25%
• Set up (2hrs), 7:30am-9:30am 100% seller fee refund, commission rate of 30%
• Pack down (2hrs), 11:45am-1:45pm 100% seller fee refund, commission rate of 30%
