NCT Maidstone Nearly New Sale

The NCT Maidstone Nearly New Sale is a well-established local event that has been running at Invicta Grammar School, Maidstone for over 20 years.

We welcome parents, grandparents, and carers to sell their good-quality preloved baby, child, and parenting clothes, toys, and equipment. With around 50–60 sellers at each sale, items are displayed like a pop-up shop, with everything arranged in categories to make it easier for the 150+ shoppers who come through the doors to find exactly what they’re looking for.

The venue has toilets and changing facilities. We run a feeding cafe serving cakes and drinks. There is a free car park on site, step free access and a buggy park. Buses run to the nearby Maidstone Bus Station, a short walk away, and there is also a train station within walking distance.

For buyers

Shopper entry: £2 per person – cash or card on the door. Queue buster tickets can be purchased in advance for entry to the sale before the general public.

For sellers

No need to be present at the sale – there’s no haggling, and shoppers don’t have to rummage through tables.

Sellers enter their items and prices into our online system, which generates tickets that can be printed at home and attached to items.

Shoppers take items to the NCT tills and can pay by cash, card, or contactless payment.

Sellers then receive their proceeds by bank transfer, after the charity commission has been deducted

Commission starts at 30%, but this can be reduced to 25% or 20% depending on the number of hours volunteered at the event.

Sellers may enter up to 100 items per sale. Additional tickets can be purchased to enter more items.

Drop-off: Sunday morning (time to be confirmed, normally around 10am)

Collection of unsold items: Sunday afternoon (time to be confirmed, normally around 4pm)

We aim to process and transfer proceeds as quickly as possible after the sale. Please ensure you complete the relevant forms to ensure this.

Items can include: maternity wear, baby equipment, toys, books, clothes for all ages (from newborn up to teenagers).
