NEDonBoard, Key Learnings From The Collapse of Carillion
Event Information
Description
As a non-executive director, board member and chair, it is important to strive for best practice and continue your learning of the role you are in.
The report of the select committees on the collapse of Carillion, released on 16th May has raised a number of important issues, ranging from the company’s corporate culture; its internal control environment; the competence and complacency of its auditors and advisors; the duties of the non-executive directors, chairman and senior executives who were members of the board of directors; the role of the Financial Reporting Council and The Pensions Regulator.
This is an insightful evening for any non-exec keen to understand the factors that led to the collapse of Carillion and keen to be engaged with current board level thoughts, discussions and best practices.
Relevant to non-executive, executive board members; chairs or executives operating at or near board level from a variety of sectors and types of organisation, we look forward to welcoming you on Tuesday 27th November.
