Event description

Description

DESCRIPTION Cost £50 inc materials

Join Nic Cremona from Felt and Dandy and learn all basic needle-felting techniques whilst making a beautiful needle felted Wren or Goldfinch.

Made using coloured, unspun wool fibre and a sharp, barbed needle. You felt the fibres together with the needle with a stabbing motion (this makes it a great stress reliever!) The basic technique is very simple and very relaxing. You will be shown how to make you chosen project by Nic from Felt and Dandy.

Delicate little needle felted birds in the shop have been greatly admired and made at workshops. Many of you have asked us for a new little bird to make, with the Goldfinch being the most popular request. These birds are a really rewarding make and become treasured ornaments too.

All materials will be provided. You go home with a finished creation.

Nic Cremona of Felt and Dandy works as a wool sculptor and instructor, concentrating on needle felted wool creations in particular. Nic has been a product designer for 15 years. He previously worked in industry leading a packaging design team in Scandinavia. His work can be seen in shops and galleries across the Northern home counties and east midlands
