Date and time
Come along to England's largest volunteer-led neighbourhood planning event to catch up on the latest news and meet other community planners
About this event
Join neighbourhood planners from across London at our first conference since 2019 in the wonderful surroundings of the recently refurbished Grade II* listed St John's Waterloo.
These are exciting times for neighbourhood planning in London with a record number of completed plans and a revitalised Government commitment to its role. The event will include:
- an update on the state of neighbourhood planning
- a progress review on design code pilots being undertaken by neighbourhood forums in London
- an exploration of the potential of new "neighbourhood priorities statements"
- insights into the role of green infrastructure in neighbourhood plans
- ideas for strengthening the Government's neighbourhood planning support programme
There will be contributions from neighbourhood forums and groups in Finsbury Park & Stroud Green, Peckham, Hampstead and more, alongside Tony Burton, Convener Neighbourhood Planners.London and Professor Gavin Parker, University of Reading.
We are asking all participants to bring copies of their plans, displays and publicity material prodiced as part of their neighbourhood planning actitvty to share with others.
The programme is still being developed and contributors finalised. Further details will be provided. Doors will open at noon for a 12.30 start.
This is a free event run by volunteers. We will be asking for donations to cover costs.
