About this event

Pre-term and Neonatal Unit Stay and Play, and Parent Support Group

Join us in the spacious activity room in Wellingborough Family Hub. Any Northamptonshire parents with a baby 0-2years who was born pre-term or sick are welcome to drop-in to what is usually a small, friendly group. We have had mums, dads and grandparents come along.

We are offering a space to meet eachother, share experiences, ask questions, and even get experts in to support you and your family during or after your neonatal unit admission.

Mel Wiseman, Neonatal Psychologist at NGH/KGH and the team at Family Action Supportive Steps are always there to chat, play, and offer information and support.

We understand that you might be worried about your baby's health and we have hygenic wipes and a separate supply of clean toys just for this group. If childcare is an issue, it's ok to bring siblings under 3 years as well.

Possible Benefits

  • Meet people who have spent time at the neonatal unit with their baby
  • Meet or stay in touch with people now they are home, maybe even meet some other pre-term babies
  • Stay in touch, or get support from Neonatal Psychology and the Supportive Steps team
  • Join a child-friendly space where we can just talk to each other or play

There is plenty of parking, which is just off the corner of Penrith Drive and Windermere Drive

Contact us if you have any questions about the group. We would love to see you there!
