We are currently living in very uncertain times. Not only do we have the stresses of our daily life to navigate, the world is in crisis on many levels. Everything that in unfolding in front of us is having a huge impact on our nervous system and overall well-being. During this day retreat we will be focusing on resetting your nervous system.

This retreat is perfect for you if you are feeling constantly in overwhelm, tired, or just out of sorts. You may have sleep or digestive issues, or experience tension and pain in certain parts of your body. You may also just want to gain a better understanding of the nervous system, the vagus nerve and ways to embody emotional regulation. This retreat will help you gain a better understanding of what's 'going on' and support you in coming back into balance.

During the day, I’ll guide you through:

  • An engaging introduction to the nervous system, vagus nerve and polyvagal theory
  • A deeply restorative breathwork practice
  • A TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) session

You’ll also enjoy delicious food, wholesome snacks, and endless cups of tea.

You will leave feeling relaxed, restored, more informed, and equipped with simple practices to support your well-being long after the retreat.

What is breathwork?

Breathwork involves consciously controlling and regulating your breathing patterns. Changing how you breath can have profound effects on your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Breathing optimally can clear mental clutter, give you increased focused and energy whilst regulating your nervous system. Today, breathwork is now widely known as a tool to help with emotional regulation, stress management and mental health. Breathwork practices vary in complexity and length, and have different outcomes.

What is TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises)

TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is an effective stress and tension reduction bodywork therapy that returns the body and nervous system to a healthy baseline. TRE therapy invites us on a profound journey inward. A return to the body’s innate wisdom.

Through a gentle sequence of physical exercises, TRE invites the body to engage in its natural shaking or tremoring response. This primal response helps to bring your body back into a state of rest and digest and out of a mobilised (fight/flight) or immobilised (freeze/dissociation) state. TRE allows you to explore your narrative through movement rather than words, and is an ancient process humans share with all living mammals.

This beautiful therapy helps guide your nervous system back into balance and bring you back home to yourself.

Benefits of Breathwork/TRE practices include:

- Lower cortisol & reduced stress

- Better sleep & improved digestion

- Relief from tension & pain

- Greater emotional resilience

- Hormone balancing

- More energy & focus

- Increased agency over your wellbeing

About Natasha

I believe our well-being is not solely determined through mental and physical processes. It requires the unhindered flow and balance of energy within the body, mind, and spirit. It also requires a regulated nervous system to make less reactive decisions formed by passed experiences. My therapeutic practice focuses on the vital importance of releasing tension and unblocking energy pathways to reset neural connections through neuroplasticity.

We all have different coping mechanisms and ways of ‘getting on’. However, our bodies don’t forget and will keep on reminding us until we are ready to release some of what we are holding on to.

Our body sends us messages through tightening, freezing, numbing, painful symptoms, bloating, sleep disturbances and irregular breathing patterns, to name a few. During this retreat we will embrace the messages our body is giving us and help release what it is holding on to.

I run workshops, retreats, small group and 1:1 sessions in London and surrounding areas. For more information please go to: web: www.nervoussystemmastery.co.uk | insta: nervoussystemmasteryuk or call 07734 054 649.
