Join us for an online briefing to learn more about accessing the Net Zero and Sustainability Skills Fund for UAL Staff

The UAL Net Zero and Sustainability Skills Fund is a new initiative designed to help staff across the university develop the skills, confidence, and creative capacity needed to support UAL’s journey towards environmental sustainability. Launching as part of a wider refresh of our decarbonisation and sustainability plan, the fund aims to make climate and environmental action a shared learning experience, connecting every role, course, and campus.

This fund offers opportunities staff from any job family across the University to access professional development and training opportunities specific to their area of work. For academic staff, this might mean attending conferences that explore low-impact materials and methods in teaching. For technicians, this could look like collaborating with a specialist service provider to learn how to repair a particular piece of workshop equipment. Professional services teams could use the fund to increase their knowledge of sustainable procurement processes, or behaviour change strategies. And for research staff, the fund can help provide training to integrate sustainability principles into project design, data management, or collaboration models.

This online briefing session will be held on Wed Dec 17, 16:00 - 16:45 to introduce guidance for the UAL Net Zero & Sustainability Skills Fund. We will cover information around how to apply, some of the criteria for selection for the fund, and what support can be offered internally to support sustainability objectives across UAL.
