Frequently asked questions

 1. What is the total cost to take part?

The tandem skydive costs £259 + admin fee, but if you raise £475, we’ll cover this for you! You just need to pay a £100 non-refundable registration fee when you sign up and set up your fundraising JustGivng page and start collecting donations.

How much do I need to fundraise?

You need to raise a minimum of £475 to qualify for the free jump. Every penny goes towards supporting LimbPower’s work with amputees and individuals with limb differences.

What happens if I don’t reach the £475 target?

We’re here to help, and no one has ever missed their target! If you’re struggling, we’ll provide fundraising tips and support to help you get there. If you don’t reach the full amount, you can either top up your fundraising page or cover your jump costs - we'll provide you with the details.

What’s included in the skydive?

You’ll be doing a tandem skydive with a fully qualified instructor, including all training, equipment, and an unforgettable experience from up to 15,000 feet!

Where and when does the jump take place?

The skydive will take place at Skydive Netheravon [SP4 9SF] on 7th June 2025. More details will be sent after your registration.

Is there an age or weight limit?

Yes, participants must be at least 16 years old, and anyone under 18 will need parental consent. Weight restrictions apply - the maximum weight allowed is 16 stone or 101kg this is due to the limitations of the parachuting equipment.

What should I wear for a sky dive?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and trainers. This could be active wear or comfortable jeans and a jumper.

Can I wear glasses or contact lenses for my skydive?

Yes. You will be provided with goggles that fit over your glasses. Please note that contact lenses can become dislodged if goggles are not fitted tightly.

Can I bring spectators?

Absolutely! Friends and family are welcome to come along and cheer you on from the ground.

Can I bring my dog?

No. Netheravon is based on an MOD site and there is a strict ‘NO VISITING DOGS’ policy. If you bring your dog they will not be permitted onto the site.

Can I get photos or a video of my jump?

Yes! The skydive centre offers photo and video packages so you can capture your big moment. These are available at an additional cost on the day. Please note there is a limited amount of equipment available book beforehand to avoid disappointment.

Do I need a medical to skydive?

Yes. Most people can self-declare their health and fitness however, if you read the form and are unable to sign this, you will need a doctor’s certificate. If your GP is too busy to sign your form we can direct you to a private doctor (who is also a skydiver) and local to the Netheravon centre.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the weather isn’t suitable for skydiving your jump will be rescheduled for another available date.

How long will I be at Netheravon?

Most tandem skydive participants spend around 4–5 hours at Skydive Netheravon including flight check-in, training, safety briefing and jump time. Please allow a full day for your skydive in case of unexpected weather delays.

How long does my jump take?

You will be called to get ready for your jump 25 minutes prior to your skydive. It takes around 20 minutes for the plane to climb to 13,500ft. Once out of the plane, you will experience around 1 minute of free fall and around 5 minutes under the parachute before landing safely back on the ground.

Who do I contact if I have more questions?

Please contact Emma for more details. Email emma@limbpower.com or call 07503 030702.
