By House of Comms

Overview

House of Comms takes the nerves out of networking by introducing you to like-minded marketers seeking support, guidance and fresh air.

Join House of Comms for a monthly netwalk to boost your mental and physical health, build your professional network, and meet like-minded marketers.

This guided walk will start from Bowden Bridge car park in Hayfield. We'll head up Kinder Road towards Leygatehead Moor, passing Kinder Reservoir to follow the footpath up William clough. We'll join the Pennine Way heading onto Kinder plateau, skirting the edge to cross Kinder Downfall, and finally descending off Kinderlow End and past Hill Houses to return to the car park. *

Start time and location: 09:45am at Bowden Bridge car park, Hayfield (SK22 2LJ)

Distance: 12km

Duration: 4 hours

*This is an ideal scenario but the route will be amended based on the weather forecast and conditions on the day.

Bowden Bridge is a pay-and-display car park but you an often find space on Kinder Road to park for free. There are public toilets opposite the car park at the entrance to the campsite.

Please dress appropriately in walking boots and layers. We recommend packing a waterproof regardless of the weather forecast. You will need to carry your own water and food. We will stop for lunch (weather permitting), but there are pubs and cafes in Hayfield if you prefer to eat afterwards.

You do not need walking experience to enjoy this route but if you have any concerns please get in touch!

Why should you join us?

Amongst 14,000 marketing and advertising practitioners, almost one third (31%) reported feeling stressed or anxious, according to the All In Census, 2025.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Burnout Report from Mental Health UK found that 91% of UK adults reported having experienced high or extreme levels of pressure of stress in the past year.

Mental wellbeing shouldn’t be an optional work perk, and it shouldn’t cost the earth. Networking whilst walking is a low-cost, high-value activity that boosts your mental and physical health, builds your professional connections and strengthens your communication skills.

Let House of Comms take the nerves out of networking by introducing you to like-minded marketers seeking support, guidance and fresh air.
