Event description

Description

"Thoughts come clearly while one walks". Thomas Mann

Wrap up warm and escape your office to join fellow netwalkers to walk, talk and network along the banks of the Kennet and Avon Canal. It's the perfect opportunity to reflect on your business, share ideas with others, plan new projects, develop new connections and draw inspiration from nature one step at a time with the added bonus of gentle exercise; then head back to the office fully refreshed for a productive afternoon.

This netwalk will take place on Wednesday 22nd November 2017 in Bradford on Avon from 11am to 1pm. There will be a dedicated theme with a series of questions to encourage conversation between netwalkers and explore different aspects of your business ventures. Previous themes have included: Growth Mindset, The Social Media Maze, Persevere or Park It and Change is the Only Constant. We're always open to new ideas and would love to hear your suggestions for possible future themes.

Netwalkers will meet in front of the Tithe Barn at 11am to walk, talk and network along the scenic banks of the Avon Valley Canal. The 4km flat route will take approximately an hour and there is the opportunity to purchase your refreshments after the walk at a local cafe to reflect on your experience and continue conversations.

Please be aware that there will be photos taken during the event that might be used for future advertising purposes and we will let you know once a month when our next events are via email (we promise absolutely no spam!). If you don't want to be photographed or won't like to know about future netwalks please let us know.

We look forward to walking, talking and networking with you in the British Great Outdoors.

FAQs

What do others say about previous netwalks?

“If only all networking could be this enjoyable" Verity Lacey, Architect, Bath

“A new approach to networking with the benefit of being outdoors. I will defintely be back for more” Paul Carroll, Director, Meadgate SC

“It was a very pleasant way to spend an hour or so. I’d have been happy to walk further and for longer. I like the fact that we were outside and moving, much better than a stuffy room and warm wine”. Jane Ginnever, SHIFT.

How many tickets are available for each netwalk?

There is limited space with only sixteen tickets available. These restricted numbers creates the ideal group size and ensures safety is paramount.

When will the next netwalk take place?

Netwalks in the local area (Bath, Bradford on Avon and Devizes) take place approximately once a month in a different location and tickets are only available through eventbrite. The next event will be scheduled at the end of January 2018. Watch this space for further details soon.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is public parking at the Tithe Barn, along Pound Lane or B3109 in Bradford on Avon. Bradford on Avon train station is 500m (6 minutes walk) from the netwalking start point.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Little reminder that an element of common sense should always be applied before heading outside with consideration to the British weather. It's strongly recommended to check the weather the evening before and bring welly boots, umbrella, warm jacket, scarf, hat and water bottle.

Remember to bring along your business cards to exchange contact details with other netwalkers.

Netwalking is focused on business discussions so is unfortunately unsuitable for babies, little people or dogs.

What is the cancellation policy?

Netwalking tickets are non-refundable though it is possible to change the name and substitute a replacement netwalker. Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend and the name of your replacement in advance.

What is included in my ticket price?

The netwalking ticket price includes a tasty culinary treat created by Masterchef Wafaa, event organisation, administration (5.99 GBP) and eventbrite booking fees (0.96 GBP). We are constantly reviewing our netwalking service and special "extras" to ensure each netwalk is a completely unqiue and enjoyable experience. Each netwalk is individually organised to avoid any joining or annual membership fees.
