This is a special netwalk for IW Creative Network members

The walk is a chance to meet other creatives within the network, get out of the studio/office, get some exercise and network in a relaxed and informal way...a waterproof coat and a good pair of sturdy walking boots or wellies are recommended as we can never predict the British weather!

The route for this walk is around 3 miles long and is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced walkers (as always there is a mix of terrain). Please note this route may be muddy in places if there has been a lot of rain so sensible footwear is important. We will be walking to the pace of the slowest walker so we won't leave anyone behind.

We will start and finish at Chessell Pottery. There are sadly no public toilets at the start of the walk but we could possibly nip into the cafe if you’re desperate! We’ll visit the cafe after the walk so we can go for a drink or some food together (cake! They do vegan cake!) and carry on the conversations - hopefully it'll be a nice day so we can sit outside.

The route will take us from the pottery to the Longstone and back in a loop. We will be stopping at the Longstone for a few minutes where we can get out our sketchbooks, cameras, notebooks, voices, whatever you feel, for a little creativity stop at this ancient monument.

Please note you will be walking at your own risk and will need to sign a waiver that you understand this before we set off.

The car park is free but is limited as it's for the cafe (we will be using the cafe too!) so please do car share/cycle/use public transport where you can (there will be a post on the facebook group for car sharing). The Southern Vectis Summer Line service from Newport to Yarmouth (and back) stops at Chessell crossroads which is a couple of minutes walk from Chessell Pottery.
