About this event

As we approach the Easter period, this session will aim to review the past two terms and look at ways in which governors can further challenge and support their schools to finish the academic year strong.

This event is for new or experienced school, academy or FE/HE Black Governors/Trustees who are interested in networking with other Black Governors/Trustees to share experiences, support and knowledge.

Organizer National Black Governors Network

Organizer of Networking for existing Black Governors | Spring Term

Our events/services fall into 3 distinct audience categories:

Existing Black Governors who wish to network with other Black Governors to share thoughts, ideas and offer support. NBGN also offer training to this group which will be delivered in a way that recognises and appreciates the nuances of culture in school settings.

Prospective Black Governors who have an interest in becoming a governor in a school but who have not yet been appointed or who does not know how to start the process. For this group we run sessions on how to become a governor and offer regular 'meet ups' to support their journey.

Schools, academies and organisations who wish to understand how to recruit and retain diverse governors with a particular focus on race and age. We run numerous training sessions both live (virtually) and on demand (pre-recorded) to meet your needs. We are also on hand to discuss your needs and offer advice and support where our resources allow.
