About this event

Volunteer Glasgow is hosting a unique networking opportunity, in collaboration with Duke of Edinburgh, for organisations that involve young volunteers.

About this event

Volunteer Glasgow will be hosting an in-person Networking Event on Wednesday 19th November at Castlemilk Youth Complex, 39 Ardencraig Road, Glasgow G45 0EQ.

The facilitated session will take place from 10:00-12:30.

We have two aims for this event:

  1. To introduce our colleagues from Duke of Edinburgh and explore possibilities for your organisation to support young people to create their own volunteering opportunities as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Volunteering Award.
  2. To identify example of best practice in engaging and supporting younger volunteers - specifically young people aged under 16. We hope to showcase these examples at future networking events to encourage more organisations to involve younger volunteers.

It is also a great opportunity to connect with Volunteer Managers in Glasgow (national and local level). You can share ideas, experiences and resources. This forum can be beneficial for being up-to-date and discussing solutions with experienced peers.
