Networking doesn't have to feel fake or a waste of time but we know from experience that sometimes it can feel both of these things.

I just didn't feel like I fitted in and constantly answering the question, " What do you do?", made me feel like I was back at school, trying to impress someone I didn't even know if I wanted to impress! As I left with a handful of business cards in my pocket, I felt demotivated and as if everyone else had a better business than me. I vowed not to go again but as the weeks went by I knew that I needed new clients and so the cycle started again. Arghhhh!"
