Whole system strategy – potential implications for healthcare estate reconfiguration across Liverpool.
The Liverpool Health Economy is undergoing a period of significant change; with the impact of cuts in social care and health budgets coming at a time of increasing demand and expectations.
The Liverpool Health system led by the CCGs have combined through the Healthy Liverpool programme (HLP) and underlined by the national Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) are seeking to bring about system wide change to not only deliver significant improvement in health outcomes but do so with less funding available.
The impact of these changes will be made evident in; shared and combined back office functions, combined procurement and contract negotiations, reconfiguration of hospital, community and social care services resulting in changes to Healthcare Estate with potential for significant investment and land disposals to follow.
Professional Liverpool invites members and their guests to hear from Paul Fitzpatrick who has been Director of Estates and Facilities at Aintree University Hospital Trust since 2008. Read Paul's biography here. Paul’s presentation will give an interesting insight into how thinking in these areas is being developed and how some of this change is likely to manifest itself.
The event, which will be held at the offices of Weightmans, will start with an informal lunch and a chance for networking at 12.30pm with the presentation at 1pm and will conclude by 2.00pm.
This event is open to all members free of charge and there is a fee of £20.00 + VAT for non-members.
