Interested in biological imaging data or analysis
from the Division of Biosciences, Faculty of Life Sciences, and across UCL
Working with any imaging data, from microscopes to drones
PhD students, early career researchers, PIs and technical professionals

Biosciences and the UCL BioImage Interest Group (BIIG) are hosting a Networking Lunch to promote discussion and collaboration among UCL staff working with biological imaging data.

Researchers across the biosciences are using similar imaging data and analyses, yet there is relatively little discussion among groups and across research fields. We are putting on a networking lunch that aims to:

Share examples of the diverse research that uses imaging data

Encourage discussion and collaboration among groups

Discuss common analytical challenges and share ideas for solutions and best practices in automating analyses

The event will include a series of short flash talks introducing research using imaging data in the biosciences, from organelles to organisms and from electron microscopy to drone imaging. We will also have discussion groups focussing on the key challenges associated with analysing imaging data.

If you would like to come along, please sign up by Friday 28th Feb. available, and priority will be given to people who volunteer to give flash talks. Please circulate to colleagues who may be interested.

If you would like to introduce your research and/or an interesting problem or solution in automating analysis of imaging data (~5 mins), please send a 100-200 word summary by 5pm on 5th March to james.d.gilbert@ucl.ac.uk.
